When searching for a photographer, make sure you have looked at their portfolio throughly! Make sure they listen to what you are wanting in a family portrait. It's great if they have ideas and suggestions, but ultimately...It's your portraits and your family and you know what style best fits your family! Make sure there isn't a time limit, in case you have young ones or the famous "eye-closer". Make sure their personality is outgoing and they are able to bring out natural and candid shots of everyone.
